One word: DISASTER. My day was a disaster.
The Philippine Young Astronomers have visited our school to educate us, students, about the wonders of astronomy. There were different activities that were enjoyed by many of us. But on the latter part of the day, we haven't expected how we ended the day.
The organizers announced that there would be a star gazing at night. And here's the condition: THE STAR GAZING WILL HAPPEN IF, and only, IF THE WEATHER IS FINE. So all day long, we hoped and we crossed our fingers that we would experience a star gazing at night for the first time.
To much of our dismay, the rain poured. Every drop of the rain in the roof disheartens me. There's no hope. There's zero chance for the stars to show up. But we didn't lose hope. We kept on waiting, and waiting, and waiting.
It's almost 9:00 pm and we haven't started yet. So we decided to go home and give up. But another disappointment surprised my heart. The flood was underwhelming. We have to find tricycles, or popularly known as "pedicabs", just to go home. And the worse thing is, some wouldn't let us ride in because we have very far destinations. We almost lose hope. But thank God, there were still persons who are considerate enough. We headed on our homes safely, thanks to that tricycle driver.
MORAL: Expect the unexpected..!
