BULLYING: A Raging Problem

Bully, as defined by the Merriam-Webster's Dictionary is "one who hurts or intimidates others." Bullying has been prevalent not only in Western culture, but also in our culture. Either physically or verbally abused a student is, bullying is undeniably creating its own mark in the center among educators. Accepting the fact that there aren't enough laws protecting students against campus bullying, controlling and implementing disciplinary actions are now the challenge educators should take regarding this predicament.


Bullying starts through teasing and creating ridiculous things towards the person. Some cases even become worse, when physical abuse is already utilized. But, worst of all, victims may suffer trauma and may also bully other student to release anger and revolt. Due to this problem, there is an enormous challenge among teachers in finding solutions for preventing bullying.


How should schools handle and address this timely predicament?

  1. Hi there! I think the staff should conduct a research study on this, especially a causal analysis so they can formulate appropriate intervention and prevention programs.
